I ask this on the windows 7 forum, but i say i will ask directly on a vista forum for people who are actually using Vista.

I need for someone to send me this driver:

Direct3D 9Ex (known internally during Windows Vista development as 9.0L or 9.L): allows full access to the new capabilities of WDDM (if WDDM drivers are installed) while maintaining compatibility for existing Direct3D applications. The Windows Aero user interface relies on D3D 9Ex.

Direct3D 9Ex Improvements (Windows)

A few days ago, i somehow got it by uninstalling a driver and windows install a 185.93 WDDM 1.1 MS driver and in dxdiag it read:

I have no idea how i got it before, but i would like to have that driver back please, can someone help

wait a min, by installing directx, how are you going to install the driver? all dx does is install whatever, but it doesn't install a display video driver

I don't think you understand what i am searching for. By install a nvidia driver , that will not make DDI in dxdiag say 9Ex. You need to read this carefully:

Direct3D 9Ex (known internally during Windows Vista development as 9.0L or 9.L): allows full access to the new capabilities of WDDM (if WDDM drivers are installed) while maintaining compatibility for existing Direct3D applications. The Windows Aero user interface relies on D3D 9Ex.

Someone else on another forum had the same thing showing in his DDI version, but he has no idea how he got it, i don't either. There has to be a driver out there that enables it. Or unless i have to use Vista to find out. I plan to install vista on my main gaming rig soon, so i guess i will just have to look into it more.

Thanks anyways, peace
