I have a new Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 and I am trying to install the software to run it. After loading the CD and giving all the right answers and permission the install process goes into Internet download and install mode. About 65% through this phase, I get an error message that the install can't be completed due to a problem with my Internet connection.
The Internet connection is fine.
I have rerun this install attempt 6 times now from the CD and 3 times from a software packet I downloaded from Microsoft. The result is always the same and at the exact same point in the process. The green line is about 65% across in the download and install phase. I hope someone can give me an idea as to why this might be happening or how to get my camera to work by some other method.
