Does anyone know what this driver is?

I have a "CODE 10" error (device cannot start) in my Device Manager for this driver (Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter # 2).

Does the device rely on home network configurations being enabled?

I decided to just disable the device, but want to make sure that I don't need it.

I'm not connected to a Home or Business network.

Nevermind. I uninstalled the device, and restarted my computer. It didn't detect new hardware after a restart, so it was probably a legacy device that serves no real purpose.

It got rid of the error in Device Manager.

Sorry I wasn't able to help you, but I'm glad that you managed to solve the problem.

Also, thank you for sharing the solution because this way others who may be experiencing the same (or a similar) problem will be able to know how to solve it.
