Does anyone know if it happens on window's 7?
I've been thinking of going to window's seven from quite sometime now, I've tried Everything that is free I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updateing and nothing has worked so far I've tryed asking Nvidia tech support and They can't help it saddens me i have to spend 60$ bucks on getting my computer looked at by specialists, Useing money I could be using on buying Fallout: New Vegas, I've been waitting for that game over a year sense i hurd it was coming out, The only Thing I found that temp fixes it is Disabling the Graphic's card, If you need to know anything about the computer I can easly get it, i'd love if anyone knew a fix for this cursed crash.

What is the cards temperature when you're doing something like gaming.

You can use hwmonitor from cpuid.com

Your whole system is burning up.

70C on a q6600 is crazy high. Mine runs 50 at load, and I've oc'd to 3.1Ghz and upped my vcore to almost 1.4Vs
80C on the gpu is warm, especially a desktop, BUT its acceptable.

Can you list your specs... Or even what case? How old is the build?

You might want to run tests on your RAM using memtest86. You burn it to a cd and boot to it. It will tell you if your RAM is going bad.

oh, the pics fine when you click it.

Have you over clocked your system?

Have you ever cleaned out the inside? I looked at the hp site, and the case isn't the best for cooling, but I don't think heat is the cause your crash.

It might be a heat issue, but it could also be age. I assume you have the updated drivers. This error is tricky, as it might be your card dying.

Try testing the card with this:
Folding@home - DownloadUtils

Instructions:
Step 1: Start up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd OR Win key+R -> type cmd OR Windows 7 users can browse to the directory and Shift+Right Click -> "Open command window here")

Step 2: Change to the directory where the memtest executable is located

Step 3: Type this:
memtestG80 128 1000

Step 4: The first value is the value of GPU RAM to be used while the second value is the number of times the test will run.

NOTE - If errors occurs and the value is 4 Billion (Exact number is: 4,294,967,284), then it is a time out so ensure that you are running the latest version. If this occurs even with the latest version, please contact ihaque who is a Member of Pande Group and is the developer of this application.

Honestly, the card is kinda low, and slow... Maybe time for an inexpensive upgrade.

Haha It always seems that when you want something, something else wants your money.

I found out the exact problem
My Computer is over heating.

A McGyver fix is open the sides and use a deskfan to blow into the case.

Your next purchase should be a better case, they alone will drop your temps signbifigantly.
