Where would I look for that? The init display is set on PCIEx and the onboard gpu has only 2 options: auto and always enable (i have it set on auto). If there were a conflict between my onboard and other vc how would i fix it. This has happened before, but i wasn't the one that resolved the conflict, and am not sure what the problem was. So here is the entire story. I got this cheapo cpu and the other vc was given to me separately by the manufacturer. I had a regular monitor hooked up to the onboard, then I bought the samsung and my husband decided to use the other card. It didnt work at first and as far as I recall it wasnt showing up even then (not super reliable intel). I think he did something in the bios, or possibly drivers, and voila, it worked. This happened once again a few months later. Then last week he left the country, and 2 days later the tv cut out on me at the worst possible time, so i freaked restarted (still on hdmi) and nothing happened, so i plugged the old monitor into the onboard and it worked great. I Tried to plug the samsung hdmi cable in and it wouldnt work, but the tv is recogizing the connection because when I unplug the cable from the vc it wont even switch to hdmi, just to pc. I opened up the cpu and made sure the vc was in tight, i switched hdmi cables, i checked the bios to make sure that PCIEx is the first display, then i went to check the drivers and it wasnt even listed in the device manager. The last thing i did was roll back vista to a few days ago, just in case update or something like that messed with it. I know this has happened before so that's why im insisting that the vc is not broken, but i dont know for sure.
