enabling transparency question

hey vista forums,

before i installed my nvidia gfx driver, i noticed that there was like a warning message in personalize menu saying that transparceny may cause system slow downs or something.

but after installing the video card driver, the warning message longer shows. is this normal?

Well when only the standard VGA driver is installed (before the real driver is installed), of course not all the cards capabilities are visible to the OS. So it probably looked at your card as underpowered without a driver. But once you installed a working driver, then it could detect the performance of it.
