I want to disable this modem in my notebook permanently, as I never use it.



I disable it in Device Manager, but it seems to come back "enabled", after I have re-booted my computer, or maybe when I do a sfc scannow or chkdsk.

If I do an "uninstall" of the driver software, it still comes back, as the notebook detects the modem hardware.

Disable permanently, as it was pointed out to me by someone in the vista forum that it may be causing a conflict.
