Could someone explain to me what drivers actually do. I have always known they are there but never looked into them XD

Using my simple explanation a driver is the connection between hardware and the computer. If you have a printer, a driver is neeed to connect it to computer.
From Wikipedia: A device driver simplifies programming by acting as translator between a hardware device and the applications or operating systems that use it. Programmers can write the higher-level application code independently of whatever specific hardware device.

Whenyou update hardware, you pretty much garrenteed to have to put new drivers in.
