After installing a failing ThinkPad UltraNav driver upgrade through Windows Update, my Ultranav pointing device stopped working. Re-installation with the latest and next to latest level of the manufacturer failed with the following error msg occurs: Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device
and
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
I tried everything I could (de-installing) the standard mouse driver but still was not able to get the driver installated that allow my touchpad and trackoint to work correctly.
I do not know how to solve the problem... totally lost!
