    Back up files

I keep getting this message every time i try to back up my files.back up failed, access denied 0x80070005. I have heard that this could be a c drive problem, but as i am a novice i am not sure what that means or how to cure the problem. Thanks for your time and have a nice week.

    Welcome
The worst case scenario is that your hard drive is about to fail. I would tell you to back up your stuff, NOW, but you cant. If you have some imporant stuff you may want to try to back that up if you can before doing anything else.

You may want to test the hard drive

    Test Hard Drive

Harddrive scan usings SeaTools - SeaToolsfor Windows | Seagate - Both long and shorttests

    Re: Back up files

I have tested my hard drive and it seems to be okay. The problem is that sometimes it backs up okay then other times i keep getting the access denied message. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

    Re: Back up files

    Try a check dsk
    Check Disk - chkdsk
After that just defrag the hard drive. Then see if the problem returns.
Also, make sure that your hard drive is not full.
How much space do you have?
