Solved Dell V510 not working on Vista

Hello.

Recently, I have a problem printing documents on Vista. I can scan and copy papers fine, but for some reason I can't print documents online. I also have a laptop that can also print from Dell V510. I never had a problem until now.

I also have Iolo System Mechanic and scan for problems daily. Perhaps my anti-virus software must have turned off or deleted a driver that is crucial for my V510 printer to work properly online. File names such as "dlea_device." Would I have to reinstall my Dell V510 printer to work properly again?

I hope somebody can help. Thanks.

Welcome
This is what you do. Go back to good times with system restore and then uninstall all the software that is doing the job that you should be doing, such as System Mechanic. We will help you maintain the computer. Its yours and you will take better care of it than some software.

Hello again.

I figured out my problem. In my Windows Firewall Settings, the option "File and Printing Sharing." was unchecked, causing a communication problem between my Dell printer and my Vista. I checked that option and I am now able to print my documents again.:D
