You could also just try rebooting.

Hi There Wither 3

Thankyou firstly for your reply... I see you are Online now... What are you refering to when you said I must try rebooting??? What must I reboot? I did shut down my Laptop and restarted it. But No change. There seems to be certain spots on the Touch pad which is not picking up my finger pressure point lol... I noticed at times my mouse arrow just starts moving on page when I am not even touching it also...Lol.... reply will be appreciated..

I didn't say you "must" reboot. I said youcould try rebooting. Every once in a while I wake my system from sleep mode and there's no controlling the mouse pointer. It goes all over the place. By restarting, the problem goes away. That's why I mentioned it. It seems you tried what I suggested.

Johnny gave you some good advice. To be more specific, I suggest that you start here-

HP Support & Drivers | United States

and try to download/install the latest driver for your touchpad.

I'm assuming you're in the United States.

hazeleyes, as you said there are some spots on your touch pad where touch pressure isn't working. This sound like a hardware problem. There might be some pressure point malfunctioning related to the touch pad.
