Solved A little driver Question? :D

Ok guys, so I just did a clean install of windows vista Home Premium after getting a BSOD. The install went perfectly and the laptop is back up and running. Naturally, I'm going to return the laptop back to my girlfriends mom(she asked me to fix it) except there's one thing that concerns me.

In my active applications tray there's a little usb symbol with a green check mark saying *You can safely remove Hardware*

When I click it, the hardware it's talking about is *02Micro Integrated MS/MSPRO controller which is at PCI bus 28, device 3, function 3*

If this were my computer I wouldn't have a problem because I'd just ignore the message and never remove it :P but seeing as she's not that knowledgeable about this kind of thing I didn't want to give it back to her with this problem seeing as I don't think it's safe to remove/eject this hardware because it's at PCI bus 28 lol.

Does anyone know why this is being prompted to be removed and how to fix?

We have to stop meeting like this.
In any event what do you have connected to your computer as far as hardware?
External hard drive, usb drive etc?

If there is no hardware connected this is what you do
Go to search and type notification area.
When it comes up go to safely remove hardware and then set it the way you want it to work.

Ooooo! You have endless tricks :P That worked for me. I just wanted to take that safely remove option off the taskbar in the case that someone would accidently remove it. Thanks for the help again.

How did the other users pc turn out?
