USB drives and Generic USB hub require driver???

Easy as the title. Whenever i plug in an usb flash drive or an usb hub to my laptop it will ask for a driver!!! Of course i dunno which to use

I installed Windows vista x64 slimmed down with vLite and i also dissabled suggested services.

I have never tried an install with the normal vista x64 disc but i want to know if any of you guys know whats wrong? Its very anoying i cant use usb drives people lend me or the usb hub of my kvm switch.

Weirdest thing is that when i intalled vista with the same vlite slimmed disk in my desktop with the usb hub connected it works flawless. Only my laptop which hadnt the usb hub plugged in at install wont find a driver when plugged.

Please help!

Re: USB drives and Generic USB hub require driver???

I have a similar problem, but on a desktop. Any USB storage device that I install Windows asks for drivers, and cannot find any. It is ridiculous!

Any help?

Re-install the engine - nothing new!

Thanks for your suggestion. I think that I might have to try that this weekend - like I have nothing else to do!

Thanks for the response!
