A8r Mvp Uli sata vista drivers?

Hi I just bought windows vista ultimate 64, and vista x64 refuses to install my sata drivers. The drivers that I am trying to install are straight from the asus site.

At the windows installation boot I get the option to load my sata drivers, and when it found my sata drivers, and I try to install it it says that it couldn't install, and you need to contact the vendor for an update.

I see in other forums that A8r Mvp users have successfully installed vista, but I'm guessing thats 32bit so I need some advice here. I don't want 400 bucks down the drain because I can't get my sata drives installed. Is there any other drivers compatible with the A8r Mvp motherboard? Also I refuse to upgrade my x64 since I heard it can slow your computer down then that of the clean install.

Thanks!

Hi Optimuz,

Did you update you motherboards BIOS to the latest version?
If not, here's the link:

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: A8r Mvp Uli sata vista drivers?

Ya I already got the latest bios. I figured it out though. I downloaded the ULI drivers from the nvidia site, and used winrar to extract the contents onto the harddrive then I just browser through the 64bit folder to get the sata drives to detect my raid.

Thanks though ^_^ works smoothly, and don't think I'll ever go back to xp anymore.
