Modem won't work with Vista

Hi, thicko computer user here with a request for help.

New computer - AMD 64 4600+ Dual-Core PC (Nvidia 7600 GT). Ordered Vista Ultimate 64. Installed, and then downloaded international drivers - Windows Vista 64-bit

This doesn't seem to have changed anything. I can't find the Nvidia Control panel anywhere (there's an Nvdia folder on the C drive but no workable applications that I can see), and there musn't be any ethernet driver installed either as I can't get online (BT Voyager 205).

Can anyone suggest what the problem may be? I guessing it's because the drivers don't fully support my set-up, but hoping I'm wrong on that and somebody can direct me to a download for compatible drivers!

If all else fails I'll go back to XP, but obviously I'd prefer a workable version of Vista.

Can you tell us what motherboard you have, above you have listed your graphics card (and drivers) this has nothing to do with your modem.

Hi, the guide book that came with the computer is for:
ALiveNF6G-DVI/ALiveNF6G-VSTA
but I don't know which one I've got, DVI or VSTA? (Sorry, it's probably dead obvious, told you I was thick!).

looking at the manual your board uses the nvidea 430 chipset, these drivers should do the trick.

nForce 430/410/405/400

Having a few new troubles now (has been neverending with this computer). The Nvidia contol panel is very basic compared with what I had on XP - for display settings it only has options for multiple monitors. Do you know if I can update to more advanced settings? I have connected a HDMI lead to Lcd tv but picture is nothing like HD quality and is jerky (changing to high res just isn't working, whereas it was fine in XP), but I am worried about losing my ethernet connection again if I re-install with another driver (if i select update driver software through device manager it tells me driver is up-to-date).
Anybody have any suggestions?
