Driver hp 3500 printer not installing as should

Just reinstalled Vistax64 and my printer will not print. Alway a fault gets in the way.

Have the drivers for the x64 from HP, but now they do not work properly.

Any ideas anyone,

what does the printer do when you try and print? does any error appear while installing?

no installing went ok, but printer gave an error.

Just managed to install the printer via EEE1284.4 which i did not have to do on my other computer, very strange.

So right now it works.

Did you try the instructions from the HP website?

I'm using that driver myself (on my deskjet 3420), and I had one problem with print quality because I had installed it incorrectly. Try installing it as though you needed to use an alternate driver. Somehow that might help.

but it works ok with the EEE1284.4 thing and sorry for the late reply, was away for 4 days.
