Vista - Warcraft 3 help please.

Problems with Warcraft 3. Reign of Chaos runs fine except battle.net. After getting patch from battle net I get the following

Also on Froze throne installation freezez up instantly at "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3x.mpq".

Any help will be much appreciated

If your running 64 bit vista the files may not be in that location, they might be in the programs (x86) directory.

You might have to go into the folder and manually run the patch.

Or you may not be able to auto update it, you may need to download the patch and install it yourself.

i run a 32 bit vista and i am unable to run the update from the warcraft 3 folder, it says "This program is used to update programs through battle.net and does not need to be run" i also get the error message about the missing mpq file even though i can clearly see it when i use "My Computer" how can this be fixed?
Also, when i download the patch and try to install it myself it comes up with this message

ERROR: unable to create file 'C:\Program Files\Warcraft III \BNUpdate.exe'
The system cannot find the path specified.

RESULT: Prepatch failed

My Friend Here Is Incabula On WOW so I can relate any message from WOW he doesn`t use VISTA I do .

make sure all you`re fire walls are set correctly to Run WOW go into you`re Modem Router Setting`s they have to be set from there to allow you`re Full gamming From Blizzard Online Games
Acsess ports need to be set there in The Raid Fourms to set them

cause one the filre walls are set to the Game Specification all down loads patchs should work WOW has he RAID Fourms to explain all of this.

he says WOW III was a Single player game they don`t use it any more

this error message happens when i download the patch by running the game, but also when i try to run the update from a direct file download... so the firewall isnt the problem... also because my firewall is already set so that i can host games with warcraft 3

Hello, I have the same problem, using the same O system (vista 32bit).. can someone please help? I've spent 5 days trying and trying everything that I can think of, and everything that is recommended online.

I've run as XP S2 compatibility and administrator; downloaded the patch on Bnet and online; reinstalled vista; turned off my firewall; registered online, and tried to download the game online... I'm so frustrated.
