heh!...
my problem with crysis is quite something else.
I installed the game once as soon as i got my new rig. worked brilliantly enjoyed the game got bored after a bit and uninstalled it after a while.
now again(after 3 months and a lot of vista updates later) i installed it (5 times) the game just refuses to even start up as soon as i click on the icon it says "crysis has stopped working".
damn i shouldnt have uninstalled it.
im uninstalling the game and downloading SP1 as i write this so hopefully it will work after SP1.

any help would be great though

wo...i just got SP1 and the game runs smoothly.
it still crashes on the 64 bit though bit the 32 bit runs like silk for me.
also after the SP1 is installed it takes about 5 to 6 boots to really realise the difference in the game and also lot of other performance issues.

hey u got this software called "game optimiser pro" . Have to say i have never played crysis that smoothly before.

My Computer

Yeah, I can never get the 64-bit to run...it always crashes, so I have to run the 32-bit executable instead :( or are you crashing on the 32?

My Computer

still trying to get sp1 will see what game optimzer pro does too see if it can help thanks for the info

I'm assuming that you all have legit copies of Crysis, because trying to update with a NO-CD crack screws up the game pretty bad. For instance, once the game loaded and no one had arms. It was funny the first 20 times, but it sort of fell apart when I found out I had to restart the bloody mission again. And again.

Crysis has been a problem child on Vista 64 (well, all of Vista for that matter), but I would suggest restarting the game (deleting your save files). I did that, and it sort of fixed the game.

My Computer

no it's a legit copy and i do have the patch for it doesn't seam to solve the problem but i am playing through the game from the start to see about glitches
and see how it runs so far so good but i didn't have a problem at the start it was just fighting large beast thing on the carrier

Oh.. I know what you mean. Try going back to the last "good" save. It involves work, but there is a bug that screws up the mission (something like the door doesn't open or the shield never goes down).

Thats what it said on the Official Crysis forum.

My Computer

SHIELD / DOOR oh man i started the game from scratch yet again with all the most recent updates and so forth maybe i can at least get past that point but i'll have to check those forums for how to get past that point keep running out of ammo shooting it and if i get far enough along without it crashing i don't know what is supposed to happen so i'll have to find out now

ok going to throw one out there but i changed it to play in DX9 instead of DX10 and the difference was phenomenal the game ran smooth as silk with no judder and even managed a 55fps which is also very good now i wonder is there a problem with DX10 that was ironed out years ago in DX9 and they just forget it screwed up games i've done everything else and thats the only thing i didn't do so i can only assume the DX10 is to blame for my faults with the game is there a way to update as my searches have either proved fruitless or i'm just looking in the wrong place for an update??
