Halo 2 vista help

I installed Halo 2 and when I click to play the game, I get an error that says: Initialization failed. Either insuffecient resources were found to run the game, or game data is missing or damaged. Reinstalling the game may fix this problem.

Now I tried reinstalling the game and this error still comes up.

Re: Halo 2 vista help

DirtRid3r, please post ur PC specifications or better still, edit your signature to include your specifications. That way, u wont have to type it out everywhere, every time.

Coming to your problem, Either you have insufficient RAM, or Insufficient free space on the drive where u installed the game or the drive where windows is installed. Other possibility is that, u might be short on free RAM. Try closing down all running applications like chat programs, n anything else unnecessary [but don't ever do away with your antivirus or your firewall]. If that dosent solve it in terms of freeing resources, u might wanna disable Aero and give it a try. U can also do a quick reboot to free up resources [this dosen't include Disk drive space].

Hope this helps!

Re: Halo 2 vista help

Your spces. are incomplete, you atleast have to mention your graphics card. no point in playing Halo 2 if you dont have a compatable graphics card

Re: Halo 2 vista help

Hi Mackess,

Your intel 946 chipset is the problem. Get a proper Graphics card to run the game not an internal graphics chip.

Re: Halo 2 vista help

Same issue as above, if your graphics adapter starts with "Intel..." you need to get a new one if you wish to game.

Using Intel graphics is like trying to run a car on a motorized toothbrush.

Hey Guys,

Socket is correct, The Intel 945 Express Chip is not designed for Gaming let alone the Areo theme on Vista, You will need to upgrade it
