Got my Crysis - couldn't launch the cd key tool!!

Recieved my copy of Crysis from Play.com today. When I try to install it it says, "couldn't launch the cd key tool!!"

Then it exits the set up...what can I do to solve this?

Try putting the application in the XP compatability mode. If that doesn't work contact the vendor for assistance.

Hello I have a legal purchased dvd/cd verson of crysis.
When I start the install it starts fine up to the point when it asks me to enter cd key. when I do I get a box that says the wizard was interrupted before crysis could be completely installed.
for the heck of it i wanted to see if it could be installed on my notebook, and it could.

I tried naming the installshield to installshieldold, and no luck.
all programs are off during install.

ea could not help
and microsoft could not help after 2 hours (thank god I didn't have to pay the $59 because the did not get it to work)

please help......
