S.O.S - Using Vista for Dummies

ok, so to be up-front and honest, I am $hit when it comes to using and understanding computer, I have no computer savviness about me. The answer may be in front of my face, I don't know.

Basically I have just purchased a Sony Vaio with Vista home premium. I also have Dreamfall PC DVD Rom. Now when I TRY to install Dreamfall all seems to be going well. Until you go to launch into the game, a screen comes up saying you need to install "something" then the error appears saying you are not the administrator. However I am. I did have a computer savvy person confirm that at least however no they can not crack the error issue.

Is it a vista issues or game issue??? It's driving me nuts. I don't want to pay to download drivers or fixes I want free advice, fixes and drivers (or whatever it takes to get my game working) any help you can offer to this dummy would be more then appreciated.

Welcome to Vista Forums.

You might try using Compatibility mode with Run as administrator on the installation file and the game shortcut, after it is installed, to see if it helps. This tutorial will show you how to.

It worked!!!!!! YOU ARE A FREAKEN LEGEND! I cannot thank you enough! I did what you suggested, it then lead me to download a drive and now the game is working.
