I cant install games in vista ultimate x64!!

So I had a virus. I reinstalled vista, and wiped absolutely everything from my hard drives. I reinstalled all the drivers, but had a bit of a problem with the new version of CCC from ATI (my card is an x1950pro). I had the 'MOM.Implementation" error message, and could not install games during the time I had the error. The game would come up (for example crysis), and load, and I would click 'Install' and then I would get a message about 'setup.exe' has stopped working and windows is trying to fix it. I thought that was because of my graphics card. Apparently not. Once my graphics drivers were working fine, I tried to install it again. Same problem. I'm a big gamer and I really want to figure out how to fix this.

EDIT: I have also tried this with all the other games I own, which all used to work fine until the OS reinstall.

How did you re-install the OS???? Did you actually reformat the drive? That's what I would do. After you installed a game, did you copy over a save game file? The saved game file could also have problems. Just a thought.

If you have trouble with a reinstallation its because you only formatted your system. if you ran recovery software on your system you could retrieve data. this is because all the 1010101 (system data) have not been written to 00000 (no data). In order to do this goto

Active@ Kill Disk Hard Drive Eraser. Low Level Format. and killdisk your harddrive before formatting. This is software which is used to remove all data including any files that can be recovered by the fbi. Handy tool for many reasons.

Enjoy :P
