Black Screen On Games 32bit. I have vista home basic 32 bit and i have installed and tryed to play numerous games including: Medieval 2: Total War, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 and recently Farcry. When i open Medieval 2, u can see the cursor with the loading hour glass and then it says "Error" and closes. Battle for Middle Earth 2 loads with a blank black screen but u can hear the sound from the menu. And Farcry loads with a blank black screen but u cant hear or see anything. My Specs are. Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20ghz (2 CPUs), ~3.2ghz 1022mb RAM Nvidia GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache - Intergrated RAMDAC 266mb And I currently have DirectX 10 Im so bored and need to play these games. ![]() Anyhelp would be awesome. ![]() ![]() Regards, Piepeople.

Re: Black Screen On Games 32bit. There might be a lot of reasons why you're experiencing those things, try updating the drivers (driver are the no. 1 cause of crashes in windows Vista). How bout compatibility ? try running them at win xp s2 at the compatibility tab. ^_^

Re: Black Screen On Games 32bit. Sounds like it could be a codec/movie player application that is messing up your intro movies. Are you running the applications as administrator? I had a problem running MTWII once, gave me a black screen because i selected widescreen in the setup options before running the game. I reset to standard, and then changed using the in game options. I've played MTWII on Vista64 Sp1 and it works fine, so im guessing its a system problem rather than an OS problem
