Vista - Vista 32bit.. black screen before game ever begins

Ive had this problem on many games not made for vista - so i was under the assumption that it was just a problem for that. I got age of conan today and i immediately found out it was infact for vista games as well.

What happens, in a much detail as possible - is. I go onto the game menu, and the game loads with this screen, then finishes loading.




After i press play...



Then...



Then offers no explaination.... I have SP1.

I just want to play this game, and any help would be accepted....

I would look for game patches and make sure they are all applied.

Ok, did what you suggested - but the problem is'nt with them. The game patches, then i get black screen after i press play - possible graphic error??

I would get the latest video card drivers and all the game patches. I know in XP Pro and XP x64, I used to use to change video drivers like this.

Uninstall from add/remove programs
run drivers cleaner on all ATI and Nvidia drivers
Reboot
reinstall the latest video driver

On video games
Install the latest patches
reset the options to default values
test the game before changing the resolution and other features.
