A succesful bf2 installation

Well i saw some posts about bf2 not working out of the box in vista 64bit but i wanted to say that i havnt had any problems installing it at all. Everything worked just fine. here are my specs

Intel Q6600
Asus P5E x38 mobo
4gb DDR2 800MHz RAM
MS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 64BIT

Well i understand that bf2 only uses 2gb max. I havnt had a problem come up and i havnt had any error signs. Punkbuster works fine. havnt gotten kicked at all. Also i installed BF2 on a fresh install of windows about 3 weeks after i installed the OS which basically nothing was on it at the time so it was still very fresh. So if you are still having an issue then it might be a hardware issue and not software.

BF2 is like 3 years old but its still a kickass game. Sorry if i used that word. Im new to the forums.

Re: A succesful bf2 installation

I have seen UAC cause issues installing BF2 in Vista x64. You might have to limit the affinity (number of cores) to 1.
