chessboard of fuzz (in-game)

Hey guys,

I just recently got a new monitor, a Samsung 906BW 19". Now, when I try to play any a game i get a chessboard of fuzz (one square snowy the next square not, in the pattern of a chessboard) lol. Even when the screensaver comes up it does it. I checked all my connections to my monitor and they were fine, now i have a second monitor and i tested a game on that one too, same thing. Now I am thinking it is my graphics card, maybe i should reseat it or try to reinstall drivers. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Andrew

OK so I just updated my drivers through Device Manager. The screen went blank and flashed a couple of times then I got this message quite a few times,

"Error in NVCPL.DLL
Missing entry:NvCplRestorePersistence"

..lol

(I have a attached a screenshot of the error message)

Hey Nerve,

You need to use the setup program to install the NVidia drivers, dont use the Device Manager...You can download the latest NVidia driver from: NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products
