Vista Tutorial - Latest DirectX Update

I have a question.. sorry to be such a noob....
I have a new system, is there a way to check to see if I already have this update installed? And if its not, which should I be downloading..the redistrubable? Or the other?

The redistributable is just that - it contains everything for you to be able to give to a friend on a CD if they have a slow connection, for if you plan on installing on multiple PCs on a network.

If you're updating 1 PC, the WebUpdate is the recommended version.

Finally, this is not distributed through Windows Update, so if you have not manually updated then chances are that it is not installed.

You have to have Vista for DX10 XP doesn't have DX10

oops sorry, wasn't talking about DX10, was referring to a green button that is now gone that had something to do with drive sweeper or something, just thought it weird that they would advertize something here that is not compatible to what we talking about.

Should i download any of these,as I'm unsure?
