Hi everybody,

I have a problem:
I have Windows Vista Home Basic.
I installed one of my favorite star wars games(star wars addicted:o) everything went great.
But when I run it gets fun:
I get a black screen, I can see my cursor and hear the sound.
But I don't see the menu:cry:
And when I click on something it shuts down the game.
I also tried to run it in compatibility mode but that doesn't work either.
I also tried to change the resolution but that doesn't help anything.

Please help me because it is driving me nuts

Greetz

In case anyone else is still having this problem, here's what I did (a slightly less annoying workaround):

Make the GUI windowed. The actual game (where you're in 3D) will still be full screen, but the GUI (save screen, load, etc.) will be windowed and will therefore display correctly. To do this:

1. Create a shortcut to JK.exe from your Jedi Knight directory.
2. Right click, and select properties for your shortcut.
3. Add '-windowGUI' to the end of the Target box (outside of the quotes). For me I have '"C:\Games\LucasArts\Jedi Knight\JK.EXE" -windowGUI'

cool, now all i gotta do is remember how to get it to display in vista's games folder.

another problem im having is it wont run in 32 bit volor depth for some reason, happend when i upgraded to an 8800, & on another pc when i changed it to a 9600, so perhaps the game just doesnt like dx10 cards
