| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Mouse/Keyboard Delay In Games Well ill start out by saying that, because its the first assumption, i dont have any viruses on my computer or spyware. I do advanced virus/spyware removal on computers almost daily. Dont mean to sound cocky (not sure how to word it otherwise O_o) just want to avoid the most common respose, "you have viruses." lol Well whenever i go and play a game such as Counter-Strike: Source, Halo2, Battlefield 2142, Crysis, or FEAR, the mouse is always delayed about half a second. So i move the mouse and half a second later, the screen finally moves. On Halo2 its mouse and keyboard. I had Windows XP Pro SP3 installed before Vista Ultimate 32bit without this issue. The only game that seems to run good on my computer is World of Warcraft ![]() Things ive tried:
Intel Core2Duo E6550 2.33Ghz 2Gb DDR800 Memory Geforce 7300GS 256Mb with two monitors Saitek Eclipse keyboard Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 Wireless |

| Windows Vista™ Ultimate | Re: Mouse/Keyboard Delay In Games CounterStrike and all FPS games set the Mouse-Updaterate very high and this will cause problems with wireless because it cant update the computer fast enough for the game requirement, Theres nothing you or anyone can do about that problem except use a Hard-Wired mouse & keyboard... The other problems you suggested can be caused by having too high video settings for your graphics card or the wrong game video settings (low FPS), Internet lag and system resource lag... Can you upload a screenshot of GPUZ and CPUZ? Steven Last edited by dmex; 07-01-2008 at 11:51 PM.. |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Mouse/Keyboard Delay In Games This is wrong. I was using Windows XP and have played all those games. I am very picky and can notice the smallest FPS lag on any game. Espically if its mouse, its horrible. I just ran Counter Strike Source for the first time on my Windows Vista 32bit and I had the same mouse lag as you. Its Vista, My hardware is the same, I only upgraded Vista and had enough to run any game on max graphics. I have 2 nvidia 9200 gt SLIs with a 2.67ghz dual core processor. I can handle these games and now I get huge mouse lag, its vista. If you find a solution, please let me know. Thanks. |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: Mouse/Keyboard Delay In Games I have a G7 wireless mouse and I had always detected, while on XP w/SP3, a small pause (perhaps fractions of a second) while playing games (any game). I now run a dual boot with Vista x64 and that detection is slightly longer than before, perhaps half a sec, perhaps not but, long enough for me to get annoyed really quick. If the G7 is supposed to be a gaming mouse why make it wireless if they know it will give you headaches? My money is on Vista but, regardless of who's fault it is, I would love to find a solution for it... buying a newer (wired) mouse is not one of them! |
