| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Assertion Failed Visual C++ Runtime Library Hi, I'm playing this game called Titan Quest. It works fine in Single-player and in Multi-player whenever I host. However, when I begin a search for games to join I get this error. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion Failed! Program: ...iles\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\TqitD.exe File: .\common\gsPlatformSocket.c Line:236 Expression: theSocket !=INVALID_SOCKET Abort, Retry, Ignore I'm not sure if this is a game problem or a windows problem. Please Help if you can, Thank you. |

| vista ultamate 64bit | Re: Assertion Failed Visual C++ Runtime Library yes this does sound like a corruption in the Runtime Library and re-installing the latest version should help sort the problem out, if not then it may be you need to obtain the latest Titan Quest patch for the game |

| vista ultamate 64bit | Re: Assertion Failed Visual C++ Runtime Library programs like that are supposed to work in the same way as the likes of DirectX (designed to update the original version that was embedded into the OS and or to fix corrutions) at the same time there would also be no harm in installing both 2005 and 2008 to be 100% sure of having the correct version |

| Vista Home Premium x64 SP2 | Re: Assertion Failed Visual C++ Runtime Library As ripbox mentioned, 2008 is fully compatible with 2005. Just recently, I uninstalled my 2005 libraries and installed both x86 and x64 2008 libraries and I haven't had any problems. |
