Vista - Warcraft 1.22a patch problem

Hi i just bought a new computer and it has vista 64bit operating system .. now im not entirely sure if its the operating system thats giving me this drama but i will explain

i installed wc3 and tft all fine both in C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III

the games work fine.

i downloaded the full 1.22a patch from 1.00 to 1.22a and i cant install as it says when i click on the installer

ERROR: unable to create file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\BNUpdate.exe'
Access is denied.

RESULT: Prepatch failed


my specs are

asus striker NSEII 790i mobo
4GB ddr3 corsair
Q6950 prosesser
3x GTX280 in 3waysli

also im running 2 74gig 10000 rpm velosor raptors in raid 0 if that makes any difernce ..

Just Right-Click the installer and then select "Run As Admin"

yeh thanks it does work when you do that .. THEN u face a MILLION OTHER problems that vista thorws your way :P

if anyone uses bored aussie in wc3 they need to download the new loader and when they go to use that loader a msg will come up

path to patch canot be found .. OR somthing to that effect the way i fixed that is like this ...

start > accesories > rightclick on C prompt/run and start as admin > then type the following

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

a lline should come up saying the operations was succsessfull

then u reboot and BAM IT WILL WORK !!! if any1 has any other problems feel free to ask here .. as i think i encountered every single problem yesterday i think i NOW!! know how to fix alot of them when patching :P thanks for the help again

I have warcraft and you dont turn off execute-bit protection unless your using some type of game exploit...

NX Protection is used to prevent types of malicious software from taking over computers by inserting their code into another program's memory storage area and running their own code from within this section; this is known as a buffer overflow attack. This affects all operating systems and NX protection is the only way to prevent this type of attack

NX on Windows Vista/XP protects Windows core services only and does not need to be turned off...

when using the bored aussie loader .. and u get that msg u need to do that or else u cant login to BA .. theres no new loader made as of yet so untill there is for vista64 thats what u gota do :O didnt know it was all that bad but :/ if theres a better way please teach
