Vista - Can't play Combat Arms

Hello, thank you for looking at my thread!
Well the problem is what I start up Combat Arms, I get a brief period of everything on my computer freezing. When I try to goto options if I click any tap or press OK I get a period where my computer just freezes for about 10 mins. I can't Ctrl+Alt+Del or alt+f4 out of it. This also happens when I start a game, not join one but when the actually gameplay starts, and I also get it when die and respawn for about 1-2 mins.

First off what are your system specs. It would help to know what your system specs are.

Model - HP Pavillion dv6700 Notebook PC
Processor - AMD Turion(tm) 62 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00GHz
Graphic Card - NVIDIA MCP67M
Memory (RAM) - 2GB
OS - 32bit

First off, make sure your network drivers are up to date. Second try and get the latest drivers for the onboard video from HP, as I'm not sure if Nvidia would have them, and make sure the onboard sound is update.

Third make sure, that you don't have a lot of background programs running.

Fourth get a laptop cooling mat, laptops for gaming get awfully hot.

Last thing that comes to mind, if you get lag on your internet connection and are using cable, it could be from your cable ISP sticking you with an AMBIT cable modem, in which case you need to replace it, or you need to switch to DSL.

Yes I've checked and updated them all and seem to still have the problem, I currently have DSL and will be switching to Cable for the faster speed and its cheaper....So I guess this is a lost cause maybe when they release newer version of the game I can play =P
