Motherboard, RAM, PSU, graphics card maker, driver versions for both the card and the motherboard. The more details you give the easier it will be to solve this. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Many problems with BioShock at vista x86 SP1 First detail the system's specs. Then tell us what programs you have running: firewall, anti-virus, etc etc. Bioshock runs just fine on Vista. We just have to figure out what's wrong with your Vista. Btw, have you tried running the game as admin yet? |

| Vista Home x64 Quad Core 2 2.50G | Re: Many problems with BioShock at vista x86 SP1 Hey there again liran. First let me start by saying you really need to get a good firewall and anti virus program installed on your computer. Viruses and spywear can cause many problems with programs in many different ways including games. If you have DSL or T1 highspeed internet chances are with no protection your computer got spywear after the first 10minutes you hooked it up new out of the box. Its sad some people have nothing better to do than send this kind stuff (Spywear/viruses) over the internet. As for whats the best Virus program, Thats a conflict many people have and another subject. You can find reviews on cnet.com. Games can somtimes be difficult when troubleshooting. So you will need to try a few things step by step. Remember FIRST always make a backup or restore point when taking steps to fix a problem. Steps I would take if I were you are.... 1. Install a good virus/Antispy program on you computer and run it. 2.Run defrag 3. Up date Video drivers. (This can be done by going to the website of the makers of your video card.) Looks like you have already done this ![]() 4.Check for Patches for game at BioShocks web site.BioShock (Patches must be installed in correct order) 5.Put CPU in selective startup mode. Here's how. go to this link as mentioned before. How to perform a clean boot procedure to prevent background programs from interfering with a game or a program that you currently use Let us know, I hope this helps! ![]() Thanks. Bugman |
