Vista - Battlefield 2 probs with Vista 64

My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit with SP1. The computer downloads the majority of BF2 until the end of the 3rd cd then stops and doesn't say error or anything. It won't allow me to download a patch for BF2 either because it can't specify the file BF2 is in. When I start BF2 it says it can't start up because some file wasn't found and I have to reinstall the application. Which I have tried mucho but won't download the whole shin dig. In the quick info of BF2 where it has the minimum system requirements it doesn't recognize the OS and says that requirement failed but everything else is just peachy. Anyone know what the deal is?

Try to run setup.exe as administrator + in XP SP2 Compability mode, that made it install here without problems.

How do I run it in XP SP2 compatability mode?

Right Click setup.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Check 'Run this program in compatibilty mode for: -> Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) -> Apply.

ok I did that and it still won't finish the installation of the program. So I tried to uninstall it and reinstall but it isn't letting me

Then I don't know, mine always works when running it in XP Compatibility mode.
