Game maker

Any video game making software that is vista compatible, can make an adventure game, and can be bought in a store in U.S?

Re: Game maker

Hi, nl4m, and welcome to the forums.

Can you be a bit more specific? Are you saying you want commercial software for game design that you can purchase here in the US, or are you saying your want game design software for games that can be sold in the US?

Re: Game maker

Why don't you just download game maker 7 and test it out?
You can buy the full version of it.

Re: Game maker

@John: If I understood you correctly, I am looking for the first. Software that helps you design an adventure game. That way I can take the shortcut to designing a game without learning a "language". I think it's called "drag-and-drop" teachnology. Where you are given a set number of characters, houses, settings... You just have to drag and drop the items you want. When you're done you got a whole city with people, you know?

It's for personal use. Something to pass the time with.

@SWAT: I've tried to buy Game Maker 7. Amazon didn't have it, nor did yahoo shopping, nor did any stores in the u.s. I've also tried multimedia fusion, also got nothing.

Re: Game maker

You should use Game Maker 7, it has a drag and drop feature.
There is no real need for coding.
But i'd recommend it.

Re: Game maker

Yeah.. thats kinda weird.. I went to check this out, ( gamemaker7) and clicked to download the free trial version, ( educational version ) and it gives me the pop up bar for the options download this... whats the risk.. etc.. clicked the download this, then it just puts me back to the main page...??I thought my son might like this.. my Maya and blitz and darkBasic apps are alittle too much for him.
