I've searched the forums but have not found a solution that works for me.

I'm trying to run Battlefield 2142. After install I tried to run it without changing anything and I would get "BF2142.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." No solution was found that way.

I then tried selecting "Run as administrator" and the Windows XP compatibility mode, but then it would say ""Please insert Battlefield 2142 Install Disc and Select OK to Retry"...of course the disc was in, however.

I have the latest patch for BF 2142, am running Vista Home Premium, 64bit, SP1 on an Asus F8V-C1 (2.53ghz, 4gb ram, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650).

Help is appreciated, very frustrated.

are you using the latest video drivers from ATI ( http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html ) as opposed to the vista driver ?

yeh do wut aukiman said update yoru drivers, that worked for me=o hope u will solve your problem. See you on the battlefield +D
