mss32.dll again...

Hi all,

I searched and saw about a year ago there were posts about this issues with CoD4, but mine is coming from Quake4, the games been running awsome, havent played in 2 days.. went to run it and see what framew rates I'm getting with fraps and with RivaTuner running to see if I profiled the fans right.. loaded the disk, splash screen comes up.. hit play single player... then the error comes up that mss32.dll is missing, reinstalling the game may help. The dll is on the disk in the set up folder, I even copied it to the program folder it was in...same error, I was going to register it, but I got confused on which option to use after typing regsrv32 in the search box.. ( Noob..) CoD4 is running great.. ( checked frame rates there too..)I think CoD4 uses it as well... so not sure whats going on.. in another post someone wrote to go to my sound options, right click in the screen, and enable disabled devices. ( the stereo mix was disabled excatly as they said it would be..) Like I said.. the games running fine for awhile then this error.. I ahvent done any reg cleaning..only thing different is running fraps and RT when the game is started..
PS.. quake was patched...
