I have vista 32bit home edition
2.5gb ram
Intel(R) D CPU 3.00GHz
512mb Geforce 9800GT PCI-E
80GB disc space

Will this game run ok on these specs?

I'm not expecting to run it on its maximum graphical settings but i also dont want to run it at its lowest either as ive seen it played on lowest on a friends computer (hes using a 6800gs if i recall correctly)

my friends gameplay is so laggy i could hardly bare it...fingers crossed it will be fine on mine...

At a glance it should work with no problems at all even in DX10
but dont jump in with all 4's just start with basic settings and creep them up till you happy

your rig is better then mine, it will work just fine!

i thought i wouldn't get high fps at dx10 with highest graphics but i did, (because the SLI...) i have framedrops to 25 but avrg of 40fps dx10 and 60fps at dx9

by the way, it's all about the forceware settings, AA (2x-16x) and Super\Multi sampeling

tip for this game, dont put the crowd density on full, its overpopulated to the point of tripping into people at every corner, the setting just below full is perfect.

Ummm his system says Pentium D dual core 3ghz....thats way slower than a stock E6600 Core design....although the 9800 will make up for it. :p

Hell i have Assassins Creed on full graphics with my rig. Your 9800 will definitely make up for any CPU bottleneck (when i say definitely im not actually sure).

Then again is have a Core 2 Duo OC, 8800GT OC, 4GB ram, 2x500GB HDD's...
ummmm yeah

The Pentium D WILL be the bottleneck. The card may help a bit, but not a lot.

Yeah i bolded your problem. You are running off integrated graphics.........
Good luck trying to run anything other than flash games on the internet. AC is a newer game, and i dont kjnow what it requires, but not integrated graphics.

Are you running a desktop or laptop? If you are using a desktop, and want to game, seriously consider buying a graphics card. I just bought a 9500gt 1Gb on sale at Fry's for $40... A $100 card! Great deal. If you want to game, consider buying a good card, minimum GeForce 8 series or better.

~Lordbob

EDIT: I dont know what is causing the error, except maybe not a good enough graphics card. Possibly it needs DX10. Dunno.

No matter how good of a video card you have, your processor is the biggest problem in this game.
For an example i have a radeon hd4870 which killes a 9800
but my processor is a phenom 9100e quad only running at 1.8 ghz and i get a bad frame rate no matter what settings its not my video card which plays crysis on high

My Computer

Hi there. I also have a problem with installing Assassin's Creed I, I'd be extremely grateful for any advice...

Here is my spec:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500

(2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 4 MB Cache)
Vista (R) Home Premium
4 GB Memory
320 GB Hard Drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 2600 XT

I'm guessing it's a problem with the video card because when I do install it, I can't see the character move about. It's just a grey, washed out screen. It's weird because the cut scene right at the beginning shows perfectly. But as soon as you have to do the tutorial bit at the start, that's when there is no image.

Also, upon installation, a dialog box does come up saying that my system meets all the requirements to play the game (all green ticks). It's all very confusing and frustrating! Can anyone possibly help me?

Hello Alison S,
Make sure your Video drivers are up to date, and also, make sure you are running it in DX9 mode.
Hope this helps, good luck and post your results.

not sure about your problem, but no way can you play any new-ish games with a laptop with integrated graphics. check out my specs, i can barely run Spore at 15fps (or thereabouts) with medium graphics.
(decent screen for movies though :p)

You will need at least 256MB of video memory to run the game at decent settings. Some integrated graphics will run the game but most if not all of the Intel Graphics wont. They have 64MB dedicated and the rest are VRAM. The Radeon HD3000 Series has 256MB dedicated with up to almost 2GB available.

Back to the original post,

The game should run fine. Just dont try multitasking while playing. Dont have the internet or aim or applications like that running in the background. It will kill the performance. The Graphics should pull you through pretty good but dont push to max. Running at medium you should do nicely.
