Vista - plz i need help with command and conquer tiberium wars

i installed c&c3 and its all fine but when i play campaign and it finishes loading, when i click play the game just closes and a microsoft error message comes up. I have all the minimum requirements to run the game except for the processor i have windows vista business 32 bit 1.83ghz and the game requires 2.2ghz. could that be the problem? also my driver might also be the problem as i dont think its the latest one. i intalled a new driver for my notebook but i dont think it was the latest one as the date year was 2007, this one was a few months newer then my old driver. when i installed that driver the game still didnt work?

Do you have the game updated with the all of the updates.

no i dont think so, i dnt think ive updated the game. im i suppose to?

If there are updates there could be fixes that make the game run smoother and fix other issues.

i just finish updating and i got latest patch but the game still wont play no difference

Right-click the game's desktop shortcut icon and choose Properties.
In the Properties Panel, click the Compatibility tab.
Place a check in the Compatibility Mode checkbox.
Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in the mode box.
Click Apply to save your changes.

still dosnt work. wat the hells wrong with my laptop? btw what is toshiba flash cards? cuz everytime the game closes down that thing appers on top of the desptop.
