| Home Basic | Sims characters on Windows Vista I have recently bought a new Benq computer with Windows Vista, and my previous computer was with Windows XP. Originally my The Sims discs worked fine with the computer, and a few days ago I tried the discs in my computer, and everything worked fine. I was starting to renovate a house, when I realised that there were no people waiting outside. Once I had completed the house, no little previews of my family's faces popped up and a few seconds later a message popped up on the screen stating something along the lines of "It seems your users 007 and 008 have not been found on your source. Please check your discs and try again". I tried again and nothing worked. I asked some staff at a games shop called Game, and they said they hadn't heard of it before, but seemed to know that it had something to do with swapping from Windows XP to Windows Vista. Now I was about to buy some Sims 2 games for the first time, and the staff at Game gave me a list of system requirements I needed to have and for Windows I need either a 98/200/Me/XP and I have none of them! Please help me work out these two problems................... ![]() Thankyou a lot |

I have Sims 2 myself, and it works great on even Vista x64. Get the Sims 2 updates here:TheSims2.com - Updates The original The Sims is fairly old, so you may not get a patch for it to work on Vista. But try here anyway: The Sims™ - Official Site - Find your Sims community Hope this helps. |
