Vista - MMORPG's

Ei guys..i'm using windows vista home premium and i'm having trouble with patching..or more likely connecting to the servers of the game. I've already turned off the firewall and i was wondering if there are other programs that vista has that is prohibiting me from connecting for servers or the like? And are there programs that blocks certain things that you download? Because in this one game called Rohan online when i try to patch the game it just says failed to download files. I tried to play Ragnarok online too and in the patching in the background it's like when you don't have net connection where it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I'm not really computer savy so i don't ave any ideas lol. So any help?

try to do a manual patch download the updates from there websites and patch the game that way it will work the instructions will be on the web page for it or at this link http://download.mmosite.com/download.php?id=2201
