| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Multiple users one game file I recently bough a computer with Vista preloaded. I created a Parent user and a Kids user login. I installed Spore and it works fine on both. The problem is that I would like the kids to be able to use the same game file as the adults, but when you open the game on the Kids side the saved games are not there. Any ideas on how to make the game files available on both users or transfer to the Kids side? I don't want to have to log the kids onto my side very time they want to play Spore. Thanks. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Multiple users one game file I dont know spore as I have not played it, but where does it save your saved games? Is the file for saved games in the game folder itself or under your documents somewhere? Also did you install the game once and it shows on both accounts or did you have to install it for both accounts seperatly? You can also right click on a file you want to share and there will be a "share" option and you can choose which other account to share with. I think you have to be an administrator for this. | Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Multiple users one game file I don't know where it saves the saved games. I don't know how Vista works. I only installed it once and it showed up on both accounts. I shared the folder I found that had some Spore files in it, but it didn't seem to help. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Multiple users one game file You should check under your documents. On mine it was called administrator but you can change that name. It is where the "Music" folder, "Favorites" folder and "Pictures" folder are located. You need to look in two places, one is going to be called "Saved Games" and you will also want to look under "Documents". There might be a folder that says spore or something like that. If it is there that is probably where your saves are. Hope this helps. Jeremy |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Multiple users one game file As above. I believe the easiest fix would be to copy the saved games via the user accounts. However, this would not fix any future saves as you would once again have to update the saved games....hmmm.. Curious issue. Can you symbolic link across User accounts? Even then it wouldnt update would it? |
