What kind of games do you like to play the most?

I am mostly a strategy nut, not that I am any good at it, but I play mostly games such as

Medieval 2 and Kingdoms
LotR BfME 2 and the Witch-king Expansion
Dawn of War Series
Company of Heroes and Opposing Fronts
Hearts of Iron Anthology.........to name but a few

I also play alot of FPS games but never used to like them until I tried one, I used to find the viewpoint difficult to get to grips with for some odd reason, can't put my finger on it

So as far as FPS games go its mostly WW2

Brothers in Arms all 3 titles
Medal of Honor all of them I think
Crysis and Warhead
CoD all of them
Far Cry 1 and 2
SH 4

Not many sports games for me except for

Pro Evolution Soccer 09 and 2 of the earlier ones
A couple fo cricket games
Grid and Colin McRae several of them
GTR 2

And for Sims

Flight Sim X and 2004 Century of Flight

Many others......just too many to mention, could infact make an encyclopedia of the games I have!! :shock:

I go through phases of types of games but my main ones are Age of Empires (all of them), Football Manager 08, Pro Evo, GTA series, CoD 2 + 4, MoH Airborne as well as occasionally Rugby 07.

Right now I'm addicted to Madden 07. I've got 08 but for some reason I don't like it as much. Was furious when I found out EA werent releasing Madden 09 for the PC :mad:

I used to play the Madden games on the Mega-Drive, (seems like aeons ago that I was switching the Mega-Drive on lol

Never bought any of them for the PC, I used to also love Ice-Hockey, but again it was on the Mega Drive, just gathering dust now though, still it may become an antique at somepoint :D

I MULTIBOX World of Warcraft.

er...yeah.

I have 5 x accounts and can run five instances of the program at the one time on my PC.....

I use a keyboard emulator called "keyclone" which transfers keypresses onto each running instance.

Its freakin hard, a timesink and a serious macro headache.

But the thing is, its freakin awesome fun pvp, I can run my own 5 man instances etc....and basically do anything that requires a group ingame.

Yes it costs me about $60 a month to do it, but its worth every penny. Awesome fun.

I'm not really into games as such. I like MahJongg type and some of the solitaire card ones, I also have for a bit of fun QBeez2 but I can't have the sound effects on with some of those when one of my cats is around as some of them have rocket and firework type sounds and he's terrified of fireworks, come to think of it I haven't played that for ages. ;)

Single player Campaigns FPS & Shooter player, hate the fuss with the Online Gaming, networks, pings,lags, campers, dolphins, etc, etc.

As of late though, it seems all the Good Franchise FPS games are catering to the console pre-teen market (not hating on consoles!) and are dumbind down the games, Vegas 1 & 2, Far Cry 2, that and the bad optimization of console porting to PC games is what is getting to me.

Games I have played but not enjoyed so much

GRAW I & II... the first one the AI had super human powers, the second one, dumbed down.

Vegas I & II... the first one had horrific graphics, bad AI, linear and there was no way to play tactically. The second one had better graphics but again, dumb down, linear and set to make you enroll in a Rambo-type of firefight. Both AI were dumb.

Far Cry 2... this should have been a rally race game instead of a Shooter. Half an hour was all it taked for me to put it down.

Bioshock... started it but didn't finish it, I don't play well with games that make me buy stuff or look for stuff to continue. Graphics were excellent and I am sure most people enjoyed it.

Lost Planet... another console port but I enjoyed it at the time since I din't have anything else to play.

I am sure I am forgetting others but I have bored you enough already. ;)
