World of Warcraft Connection problem

Hi guys,

I just bought a new laptop with Vista ultimate 64 on it and have been having trouble logging into world of warcraft.

More specifically, when i enter my username and pwd in the game login screen, it authenticates and then gets stuck on "Success". Upon pressing escape, it goes to the "Retriving realm list" and gets stuck there too.

I can connect to WoW from my older laptop which uses XP. I have checked all the firewall settings (Windows) and opend up all the ports that WoW needs.

Anyone else experienced this problem? Any help really appereciated.

Cheers

Re: World of Warcraft Connection problem

Make sure you are logged into your laptop with administrative rights, also try turning off User Account Control off and see if that helps. I know when I was trying to take Screenshots they were not getting captured because of UAC. If this doesn't work, try the technical support forum on the WoW forums, they will ask for specifics about your laptop but they will be willing to help you also.
