Bioshock Sound

So I got Bioshock for the PC and I had a Realtek sound card and the game would have that common problem of crackling and stuttering speakers. So I upgraded to a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Gamer sound card which they recommended and it still crackles. Only now, it crackles and stutters during the game and on the load screens, whereas before it only did it in the load screen. Any way to correct this? Thanks..

i had the same problem with my old motherboard, i got it working by turning off hardware acelleration in dxdiag. but some fixes are turning on vsync in game and even changing power options in personalise menu on right click desktop.

Hrm...Bioshock on 360 eh? Why didnt you just fix your PC version? Or was it not running well beside the sound problem? It seems like that game is not very hardware intensive at all. Run it maxed with DX10 options on 4xaa 16xaf and its still smooth as can be. I too own an xbox 360, as long as you're playing in HD I guess its not too bad. I for one do not see the need to compete/argue over what system a game is played on, as long as it is running at the platforms highest potential or the user enjoys it then its all bliss. The only reason I own my 360 is for GTA 4, which comes out on PC in december, and Fable 2 which I've already played through as good and evil. Which reminds me....

WTS Xbox360 with GTA 4 & Fable 2 includes HDMI - DVI Cable.......
