Games Tombraider Underworld

How is it going, is it just me ,or is any one else having a problem trying to play Tombraider Underworld on their pc. I can play lots of games with no prob ,I think all my drivers are up to date I try to keep them updated every month so if anybody is having the same prob as me please let me know .My prob is when I start the game my screen goes black for a sec as normal, and then I get this message ,A problem caused the program to stop working blah /blah windows has to shut down this prog, so anybody out there please help if you can ,Thank You.

HI, no, still no bettter off.I definitly believe it is a driver prob because I got it to play once the other day while I was installing and uninstalling the drivers ,trying to fix them if you know what I mean,make sure you have the very latest driver for your card or it will not play.Let me know if you progress ,and if I find anything I will let you know.

Well, your specs seem to suggest no problem in running the game. More likely it is a driver problem or something went wrong installing the game. Try reinstalling/repairing the game. If that doesn't work, then look on the ATI site for the latest drivers for your card, and make sure they are for 32 or 64 bit (whichever you are running).

YES my underworld is running :). What you have to do is to completely (so completely..) delete your driver software and to install the NEWEST driver (you can also read this at the ati website). I have an ATI 2400pro driver. You will find the driver at the ati website.

That sounds like a reasonable solution. Give that a try. I know someone on these forums mentioned a program that completely removes old drivers. I dont remember anything else about it, but give it a shot. Let us know if it works.

I have vist ultimate 64

When i installed the TR underworld
i did not get a desktop icon

& when i click on programs
it doesnt show up

i have click on Computer
& click on the CD where it shows whts in
on my DVD drive to play the game

how can i add a Icon on my Desktop
PLease anyone knows ?

Ok well this is an easy fix.

You say it doesnt show up in the start menu?

Can you go into the hard drive (C: ) and go into program files and find it there? If you can, simply open the folder, find the program executable there, right click it and select send to desktop.

But wonder why it doesnt make one like it use to in XP

Also My game shuts down on its Own :(
why does that happen ?

That may be because your computer is not good enough to run it, or an error in the game files. Check to make sure you can run it, and try reinstalling it.
