My friend and I are trying to connect two Vista x64 laptops together to play CNC3. We can see each other in the lobby but cannot see the game when one of us tries to create one. We see the other disappear, but no game ever appears.
Firewall is off.
Connected via crossover cable.
Manually set ip.
Both have disc.
Set up wireless adhoc also,

Simply cannot see the game that the other person is hosting.

Please someone help. This should be simple!!!

Ok, nevermind. Found out that he needed the patch. That should have been obvious. I wasn't thinking anything of it because I needed the patch to even play and he was playing without it. Slipped my mind.
