DLL file problem

Hi guys
Just bought my son a new PC with Vista HP 32 bit - he installed Warhammer online but it would not run the game - the error message was asking for a DX9 DLL file - downloaded and installed that, the game now runs, BUT will not boot next time he turns it on..... he has to boot at a restore point before the DLL was installed - is there a way round this as its a pain to do this every time he wants to play?

Cheers

Re: DLL file problem

Where did you download the Direct X 9 .dll file from?

That maybe one of the issues if you didn't download it from Microsoft.com.

Re: DLL file problem

The first few attempts were indeed from the MS site - tried a different site on the advice of a friend on subsequent attempts. Same thing

Re: DLL file problem

Has he used any software that may have manipulated the system that you may know of?
