| Vista Home premium 32bit | Vista - Installing directx9 - Game overlay On vista (32bit), Game Overlay doesn't seem to work... Maybe because game overlay doesn't support directx10 So should i instal directx9? what would directx9 change? Or can anybody tell me how to let game overlay run with directx10? (www.gameoverlay.com) (btw, I would like to use gameoverlay in guild wars) |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista - Installing directx9 - Game overlay Willem, welcome to the forums. Download and install this, Download details: DirectX Redist (November 2008) it will update your DirectX 10 to the latest version(s) as well as install any and all missing DirectX 9 files. Should fix your problem with that program. P.S. You can safely delete the above file as well as the extracted folder/files after the install is complete. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista - Installing directx9 - Game overlay From what I can see it doesn't look like this program works with Vista whether the DX9 files are there or not. Have you tried contacting the author(s) directly, GameOverlay.com and asking about Vista support. |

Have you tried contacting the author(s) directly, GameOverlay.com and asking about Vista support. they stopped supporting this program. Me and my friend are still trying to make it work. we are considering to write a program like gameoverlay for vista, but it's really complicated. So we'd like to get gameoverlay to work so it would save us a hughe amount of time, also because i got university exams soon... I kinda need a solution to make it work though. Maybe i extracted to files to a wrong place? I dunno i'm willing to try everything. Maybe it's because i use a notebook, but i doubt it. My final solution is to install XP but i'm fearing my touch screen of my notebook, sound and webcam won't work anymore. Some advice would be nice |
